    • Our state-of-the-art learning center features covered and heated hitting bays, technology for video instruction, and a private teaching room. Although the facility is open to members only, private lessons are available to the public.

      Dave believes that having fun while playing the game of golf is key to improving. Dave began his career as a member of the Canadian PGA. Since moving to the US in 1994, he is focused on his passion for teaching. 

      Dave brings unique teaching experiences to draw from, including being a Lead Instructor for ESPN’s Golf Schools and teaching with Dean of Instruction Hank Haney at his Signature Schools.Dave teaches with Golf Digest instructor Ed Bowe, and taught with Jimmy Ballard, Fred Shoemaker of Extraordinary Golf, and Golf Channel’s Yoga for Golfers’ founder Katherine Roberts. 

      As former Director of Instruction at Kayak Point Golf Course and opening the Jackson Park Teaching Facility and driving range, Dave teaches all levels and stages of the game, while specializing in Short Game and Scoring.

      Dave is certified as a First Tee Instructor, Level 1 Titleist Performance Instructor (TPI), and is FITforeGOLF certified.

  • Golf Dress Code
    • Those who wish to use the Golf Course are required to adhere to Useless Bay’s golf dress code. For men, golf shirts must be sleeved and collared, with turtlenecks and mock necks being acceptable. Slacks or golf shorts are required. For women, both sleeved and sleeveless golf shirts are acceptable, as well as golf dresses and skorts of an appropriate length. For both men and women, footwear is restricted to street shoes or soft spiked golf shoes. No tee shirts, gym shorts, bathing suits, or workout clothes are permitted on the Golf Course.
